Valery Tetyukhin, a student of Department of Mining and Natural Resource Management, has become an awardee of all-Russian competition for graduation papers on Geology and Mining.
62 graduation papers in 6 specializations on Geology and Mining were submitted from 16 Russian universities to the competition that took part in National Mineral Resources University (University of Mines) in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
The work submitted from BelSU was developed by Valery Tetyukhin under scientific guidance of Associate Professor Eduard Vinkov; judges of the competition ranked it third.
Titled “Engineering and Geological and Hydrogeological Survey for Constructing an Over-Opencast-Mine Complex at Botuobinskaya Diamond Pipe,” Valery’s graduation paper addresses issues related to geological monitoring of conditions of perpetually frozen ground with a view to ensuring construction on the territories of diamond deposits in The Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, Russia.
