Russian Song contest lesson for all international students fr om Belgorod universities took place at the BelSU Youth Cultural Centre.
The contest was organized by the BelSU Institute of Cross-cultural Communications and International Relations and was arranged to mark opening of the Winter Olympic games 2014 in Sochi.
The song contest has been held at the University for 30 years. According to Lyudmila Zubareva – one of organization administrators – the contest lesson is an integral part of the Russian language teaching program for international students, and all the BelSU students, who take part in this event, immediately gain credit for the Musical Phonetics course.
“Russian Song is a perfect example of cross-cultural communication, wh ere young people of various nationalities don’t merely show their talents, but actually find new friends,” says Lyudmila Zubareva.
Among the participants of the Russian Song contest there were international students of preparatory departments of Belgorod State National Research University and Belgorod State Technological University n.a. V.G. Shukhov. The contestants were ardently singing such famous Russian songs as “Katyusha,” “Oj, Moroz, Moroz,” “Vo Kuznitse,” and others.
Jemahl Velieva – one of contestants, a student of Preparatory Department of the BelSU Institute of Cross-cultural Communications and International Relations – told us about her impressions of the contest lesson:
“I have always wanted to perform from stage. But it never occurred to me that my dream would come true here, far away from my native country. I liked the concert very much, and I wish this tradition to continue.”<< Назад к списку |
