Students of the third session of the Second International BelSU Summer Language School have completed the course and received certificates. A part of the extended "University of the Future" programme, the International Summer Language School took place in Belgorod National Research University for the second time.
The "guest stars" of this session were Michael Binyon, a reporter of The Times, a well-known daily British newspaper, and Ross Lockwood, a teacher fr om England.
Expressing his opinion, Mr Binyon said the language school was a perfect possibility for students to improve their language skills, and speaking a foreign language at all gives better chances to realize one's professional potential.
The Summer Language School programme included master classes, lectures, seminars, and themed parties wh ere everyone communicated only in the English language. After classes students could take part in various sports activities.
During the closing ceremony Valentin Doborovich, a teacher from "Interlingua", a Belgorod language school which actively cooperates with BelSU, took the microphone to address to the students and teachers.
"The importance of this event is is doubtless, for teaching students the English language is of great importance. Summer language school is no ordinary event: its relaxed atmosphere helps to quickly assimilate new knowledge", said Mr Doborovich.
To demonstrate the new level of their language competence, participant students performed several stage productions based on world-famous stories "Alice in the Wonderland", "The Three Little Pigs", and "Harry Potter".
