The Day of Pi

The students of BelSU Engineering Technologies Institute celebrated the international Pi Day

Pi character is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. It’s a mathematical constant, which begins with 3,141592 and has an infinite mathematical continuity. It’s remarkable, that Pi Day has the same date as the birthday of Albert Einstein, one of the most significant physical scientists of modern time. The Pi Day is celebrated by math lovers from all over the world.

In BelSU this holiday was celebrated by students of technical departments. The initiator was Anna Yaduta, assistant professor of mathematics and software systems department. The event itself was organized by students of IT and applied mathematics department. They made a Pi Day celebration in for of stage performance.

Students told about the history and trivia of Pi character, and also represented it in form of music and sweets.
