A group of sports tourists from BelSU has conquered three highest peaks of Western Caucasus within one week
It was a journey on foot with III category of difficulty for the Sports Tourism Trekking Championship of Russia. Sportsmen have set ambitious goals: to place flags of BelSU at the tops of the Republic of Adygea’s highest peaks: Oshten (2806 m.), Psheha-Su (2764 m.) and famous Fisht (2868 m.).
The journey was a week long, and difficult. Weather became the most serious challenge for the group: rain, hail and wind. Young tourists have also got over the six mountain passes of various difficulty, from easy ones to those which they could conquered only by alpinists’ duffel. The most unexpected surprise was a bear, who has visited the camp site for two days in a row.
The most challenging climbing site was the Fisht mountain. In eight hours the group crossed the cliffs and big Fisht Glacier, and ascended to the top through the rocky, steep spine of the mountain. There they’ve placed a flag of BelSU.
The journey ended in Guam Gorge (Krasnodar Region)
