Students of BSU have won medals of the sport orientation championship of Russia

The championship took place in Penza, Russia from 7 to 11 September. The competition was attended by teams from 23 universities of Russia. They were both beginners and strongest athletes. There are more than 40 masters of sports of Russia, members of Russian team, winners and prize-winners of Russian and world Championships at the competition.

BSU was represented by a team, which included students of the faculty of physical culture of Pedagogical institute : Sergei Pozdnyakov, Dmitry Leonov, Mikhail Kuleshov, Ivan Kuchmenko, Alena Rakova, Vlad Merzlikina.

The competitions were held in three disciplines. Short distance sprint, long, classic, and relay.

Following the results of competitions the sportsmen of BSU showed good results. Every day the students of the BSU went on the podium. At the end of the sprint Ivan Kuchmenko was the second, and Mikhail Kuleshov had the third place.

The second day of competition for long-distance students of the Belgorod state University, repeated the success, having taken two prizes. Ivan Kuchmenko was the second, and Mikhail Kuleshov was the third, presenting some seconds to the winner. In the relay (three people), BSU men's team consisting of Sergey Pozdnyakov, Ivan Kuchmenko and Mikhail Kuleshov became the silver medalist of the championship.
