“Dobrovolets-2017”: volunteers at BelSU

In the first working day of school three key events has taken place: lecture, master class and round table conference. The associate professor of BelSU social work subdepartment Kseniya Korolyova told participants about features of socially oriented projects. Throughout the presentation of cases the team have received tasks on development of a logo and brand book for the project, creation of the concept of the website (groups on social networks) and storytelling.

One of the cases was provided by the Ray of Light Charity foundation. Chairwoman of the foundation Natalya Smolyanina and its founder Tatyana Vlasyuk have told about the summer camp "Dream Sail" for children with limited opportunities of health. Questions of listeners concerned opportunities of the volunteer help to Fund, scales of cooperation and influence in media.

The second day of school was dedicated to the media subject: master classes of the associate professor of BelSU Journalism subdepartment Irina Karpenko who has told participants about storytelling and forms of visualization of media content on the example of successfully realized “Become a Friend” project of BelSU Journalism Department students for the Razumnoye “Childhood House”. The associate professor of a communications science, advertizing and public relations Anton Popov together with participants has carried out primary critical analysis of communities of charity foundations on social networks. The speaker has shared secrets of successful maintaining of a public, and participants obtained a lot of new information for development of the cases.

In parallel with educational activity participants of school actively participate in the cultural program. So, in the first day the general netvorking has been carried out, and in the second day participants have visited the museums of BelSU.
