BelSU grants wishes

The holiday for children who participated in charitable Christmas marathon "A warm word – a good deed" took place at BelSU Youth cultural center. On a good tradition, on the eve of New Year's holidays children and philanthropists have gathered under the Christmas tree in the youth cultural center to grant the most treasured wishes.

Rector of BelSU Oleg Polukhin has addressed participants of a marathon, representatives of city administration and area, sponsors, heads and pupils of child care rehabilitation facilities, students and the staff of the university with welcoming speech. He has thanked all participants of a marathon for good deeds and kind heart.

“Today those who actively participate in good deeds, charity, in various events and actions connected with assistance and children support, have gathered here. We are on friendly terms with many of you for several years, and we sum up the marathon results together for the 15^th time. Thank you for your warm words to children, for good deeds you make. I hope that we will be helping those who need especially it for a lot more years. We have tried to grant all wishes of our little guests and we hope that we managed to bring them joy and happiness in coming New Year's days”, – Oleg Polukhin said.

Little guests danced around Christmas tree, played with Father Frost, sang and performed. In conclusion of a holiday children have received long-awaited gifts which were prepared by good wizards – participants of a charitable marathon.

According to the director of the BelSU Social development Center Tatyana Nikulina within a year the participants of the event collected more than 1 million rubles and helped 700 children from 20 social and rehabilitation institutions. This year the charitable event included residents of Belgorod who live a city hospice.
