Zarina Ambalova, a student at the Institute of Engineering Technology and Natural Science, won an award at the '1C: ITS' National Competition in Moscow
Ms Ambalova, in her 2nd year of a Master's in Applied Information Technology, came third in a field of 1,500. 1C is the most important software development company in Russia and the CIS, and has been running competitions for the most talented students in Russia for the last 3 years. The final took place in 1C's Centre for Research, Development and Training in Moscow, where the finalists were tested on their ability to use 1C's business and accounting software. They were given realistic scenarios in which they had to solve problems arising in general and tax accountancy, and fundamental business procedures. The jury was led by Boris Nuraliev, founder and director of 1C.
