2 Silvers for Our World-Class Arm-Wrestler

Both competitors are studying at the Pedagogical Institute, and for Mr Merker, the championship being held in Sofia was the first time he had experienced competition at this level. He ended up in a brilliant 6^th place, a great finish for a débutant.

Ms Reshetnik, already a Master of Sport at national level, has added the title of Master of International Sport by winning her medals with left and right hands. Her nemesis proved to be Ezra Keraz of Turkey, who dominates Women's Arm-Wrestling in this weight category.
