Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

The students were congratulated by their teachers, administrators and members of the Alumni Association, and watched a video compiled by the students and teachers. Then Vladislav Kuchmisty, Vice-Rector for International Affairs delivered his address, saying,

“Dear friends, completing your studies at Belgorod National Research University is an exciting event for you, but also for us, the teachers and staff of the University. Some of you will decide to continue education and go on to Master's programs, some will return to their homeland to begin their career. Each of you will make your own way in life, but all of you are united by the years you spent here. Of course, there will be many difficulties ahead, but I am sure that the future will also contain many victories and accomplishments. We believe that your time here will have played a role in your success, and we look forward to hearing about them through the Alumni Association, which we hope you will join.”
The celebration continued with the presentation of various certificates and awards recognising the contribution overseas students make to the life of the University. This also allowed the students to express their gratitude to the teachers and staff.

Next, Professor Mikhail Trubitsyn, Chair of the University Preparatory Department, Professor Nina Zhernakova, the Medical Institute's Head of Science, and Professor Victoria Tarabaeva, Director of the Pedagogical Institute, all congratulated the students in turn. Then the students put on a show, performing solo and in groups. Among the highlights were performances from the 'Otrada' and 'Star AlgoRitm' musical ensembles, the 'Inspiration' dance troupe, and the performers from the 'Veresk' ensemble. The evening was brought to a conclusion with the Belgorod National Research University anthem.
