BNRU at the Congress of the Peoples of Russia

The Congress dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia was held in Moscow with the support of the Presidential Council on National Relations, the Presidential Grants Fund, the State Duma Committee on Nationalities Affairs, the Federal Agency for Nationalities, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings and congratulations to the participants and guests of the congress, in a telegram the head of state stressed the high mission of the Assembly to promote the unity of the multinational people of the Russian Federation.

In the program of the first day of the Congress, the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "My Russia - the unity of peoples. Organization of the network of resource centers in the sphere of national relations ", which includes an extended meeting of the Council of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia, round table conferences, exhibitions, discussion panels, and seminars.

On the second day of the forum, a meeting of the General Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia was held in the building of the Moscow Government for representatives of more than 30 countries took part. Presentations of the best practices in the field of national relations and successful experience of resource centers in this area were held. The participants of the congress were able to get acquainted with the exhibitions reflecting the activities of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia and to see a big concert with the participation of professional and amateur ethno-cultural groups.

“The Congress of the Peoples of Russia has united representatives of all regions of our vast country, bound by one common idea - friendship, harmony, unity within a multinational state, including among foreign students of Russian universities. During the fruitful three-day work, many joint projects were born, which we plan to start implementing in the near future”, – Elena Nazarenko commented on the results of the forum.
