Talks with the Skolkovo Innovation Center

Our team toured the site with Alexander Fertman, Director of the Skolkovo Foundation's Department for Science and Education. The Rector is very keen for our University to be involved in the future of this major project, and met with Andrei Sharanov, President of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, and Alexander Kuleshov, President of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.

The University's Research Institute of Pharmacology of Living Systems was foremost in the Rector's ambitions, however. The discussions revolved around getting the Institute affiliated to Skolkovo, and awarding it 'Resident' status. This would also allow Institutes in our University access to funding through the Skolkovo Foundation, as we will be classed as a 'User'. If negotiations succeed as expected, we can look forward to making joint applications for research grants, and participating in events at the Center.
