All Going According to Plan

The University is actively engaged in pushing forward in terms of global rankings, and establishing itself as a Regional hub for science, academia and community support. Dr Andrei Peresypkin, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, led the Council through a summary of the achievements made by the University in fulfilling our plan of 2013-2017, comparing them with our progress on the 2018-2022 plan to date. He reported that the targets had been met in broad terms, but that the plan may need to be adjusted to reflect changing priorities. He went on to highlight areas where he felt that a greater effort was needed to keep pace with the plan.

Professor Vladimir Moskovskin, who monitors and coordinates the University's output of academic papers, gave an overview of publishing activity of colleagues, breaking down output by subject, and singling out authors for praise based on their papers being accepted into prestigious journals.
