Dr Anna Kulik and Dr Yana Bondareva, from Belgorod State University's Institute of Economics and Management, were in Yalta for a major conference on ways to attract investment into Russia's Regions
The two are experts in the modelling of production processes, and were there to talk about their paper 'Research on Ways to Increase the Investment Potential of Russian Regions'. The conference is the 2nd annual 'Financial, Economic and Advisory Support for Regional Innovative Development.' It is hosted by the Crimean Federal University, and this year saw academics from the Russian Academy of Science's Institute of Europe Economic Research Department, and its Karelian Research Centre, the Southern Federal University, Ural State University of Economics, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and Chelyabinsk State University. There were many government economists and other interested parties in attendance.
Dr Bondareva and Dr Kulik were able to discuss academic ties with their hosts and are working on creating joint programs and research.
