Professor Arkady Sedykh, head of the German and French Department at Belgorod State University, visited Cergy-Pontoise University, to give lectures, attend a conference, and propose an agreement on a new research partnership
The Professor's lectures were on semiotics and lexicography, and were part of a conference organised by the renowned linguist Jean Pruvost. The University runs a Research Centre called 'Lexicon, Texts, Discourse & Dictionaries' (LT2D), which tracks changes in the French language.
Having discharged his educational duties, Professor Sedykh met with staff responsible for academic exchange programs, to discuss ways to deepen our cooperation. His proposal will expand the work of the LT2D Research Centre to include Belgorod State University.
