Archpriest Nikolai Germansky visited Belgorod State University to expound on his theories of what constitutes a healthy state and society
The open lecture took place at the Institute of Social Science and Mass Communication to an audience of students and staff. Father Nikolai is the Director of the Cultural Centre for Collating the Russian Experience, and his talk centred around his theory that belief is the core of a strong society, culture is the next layer, and state institutions protect the whole. He stated,
“When all these components are in agreement with each other, then civilisation is strong, and it is almost impossible to defeat it.”
This lecture was one of a series of open lectures organised by the Centre for Social and Political Studies on issues of culture and society. It gives students an opportunity to meet and interact with prominent public figures not involved with academia.
