Telecommunications Award

The competition is run by the non-profit International Association of Communications Academics, and sponsored by the Federal Telecommunications Agency, and the Telecommunications Workers Union. The concourse involved over 1,000 scientists under 30, from undergraduates to newly minted Doctors, and researchers from industry and academia. Our team was there to show off its 'UFOModeler' systems and process modeller software. The organisers awarded the project with a prize in the 'Research' category, and another for the associated scientific article published in the 'Electrosvyaz' journal, the journal of record for the telecommunications industry of the Russian Federation. Dr Zhikharev, an Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Robotic Systems at the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology, received an individual award in recognition of his key role in the project.
