Placements for Tourism Students

The program, initiated by Dr Tatiana Klimova who runs the Travel & Tourism Faculty, started with orientation, seminars, and talks by people within the industry. Our University is working with Kilit Global Tourism in Turkey, and TezTour, a Russian Travel Agency. It is Dr Klimova's firm belief that there is no substitute for real experience within the industry. She says that this type of training over the summer will help to broaden students' horizons, as well as educate them. Their duties will include meeting tourists at the airport, escorting them to their hotel, and helping local guides conduct excursions. This is an exciting proposition for our students, and will give them an opportunity to develop their confidence and people skills. Hopefully, they will have time to forge some lasting friendships.
