Professor Maria Sitnikova, the Director of Belgorod State University's Research Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology, announced a Master's program for the new academic year in 'Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology'
The interdisciplinary program was made possible by a grant from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation, and will be open to graduates of Psychology, Biology, Physics, Computer Science, and Medicine. Professor Sitnikova has launched the program in anticipation of the development of interdisciplinary neuroscience methods that will be adopted in the near future. These will combine understanding of neurophysiology with new techniques in collecting neurological data, against a backdrop of intelligent robotics. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on design and experimentation, developing and creating innovative products and services using cutting-edge neurotechnology such as bionic prostheses, neurological gadgets, adaptive learning systems, and robotic devices linked to neurobiology. The program will involve internships at leading research centres in Russia and abroad, and in Russian companies specialising in neurotechnology. Admission to the comprehensive two-year program is based on the results of the interview and an assessment of your portfolio. Advice on admission, and details of the course, can be obtained by writing to neyrotech31@gmail.com
