Making Decisions with Global Impact

The Bishkek Declaration of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) of the 14^th June, 2019, contained proposals put forward by the Youth Forum in May. These included extending the model of the Russian-Uzbek Business Incubator, created at our University, to all member states. The Incubator allows young business leaders and innovators to pool ideas and resources across borders. The project will be called the 'SCO Youth Business Incubator' and awaits ratification in member states. The other proposal was for an SCO student ID card. These policies are in line with the mission statements of the SCO, which is looking to extend mutual cooperation in an emerging multi-polar world that acknowledges the growing influence of Asian economies. The SCO promotes the ideas of respecting national boundaries and international security by enforcing international law, and mutually respectful negotiations.
