The results of the RFBR contest for the best scientific projects of interdisciplinary fundamental research in 2019 on the topic "Fundamental problems of soil research and soil management in Russia" were summed up
The Russian Foundation for Basic Research has conducted a competitive selection of the best scientific projects submitted by scientists. This year the competition received 266 applications. According to the results of the examination, 46 projects were supported. Among the projects supported by the foundation are the projects of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, associate professor of BelSU Yuriy Chendev, “Regional and local reconstructions of changes in the soil and natural environment under the influence of Holocene climate dynamics and anthropogenic influences: the forest-steppe center of Eastern Europe”.
According to the scientist, the project is dedicated to discovering the interrelationships between climate change, soil, natural environment and ethno-cultural processes in different historical periods of economic development of the forest-steppe of the Central Black Earth Region. The research team includes lecturers and graduate students of BelSU, Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Pedagogical University, and the Institute of Physico-Chemical and Biological Problems of Soil Science, RAS, Pushchino, Moscow Region.
