The All-Russian youth project "From Students contest to RDL badge" appeared thanks to the Ministry of Sport of Russia, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Russia and the Association of Student Clubs of Russia.

In 2018, over 36 thousand students from more than 220 universities of the country took part in the Ready for Defence and Labor sports competitions of the university stage. About 600 people went through to the final stage and demonstrated the highest rates in performing tests (tests) of the RDL complex.

The culmination of the project was the First All-Russian RDL Festival, held at the site of the Belgorod State University.

In the overall standings the team of Belgorod State University got 4480 points and became the winner.
