A State Flag Day at BelSU

Congratulating everyone on the occasion, vice-rector for educational activities, candidate of technical sciences, Professor Alexander Mamatov wished everybody success in work, study, science, professional and personal development.

Representatives of different generations raised three flags on the university’s flagpoles. The chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans of the University Yuri Pitinov, raised the State Flag of the Russian Federation, the flag of the Belgorod Region raised by the representative of the Student Council, a graduate student of the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications Yaroslav Vorobyov, and the flag of Belgorod State National Research Universitywas raised by the student of Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology Ekaterina Miroshnikova.

On behalf of the students, the audience was congratulated by the vice-chairman of the BelSU Student Union Angelina Besedina, who said that this event gathered volunteers - people with an active civic position who are willing to work unselfishly for the good of our country, city, university.

Vice-rector for educational work and youth policy, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Svetlana Ostrikova thanked the volunteers who actively participated in the preparation of the university for the new academic year, for their work, and reported on the results of the all-university poster contest “Freshmen to the University!”. She also presented honorary diplomas and letters to volunteer teams.
