A new lilac alley in the Botanical Garden

The university continues the All-Russian and international scientific conference "Botanical gardens in the XXI century: conservation of biodiversity, development strategy and innovative solutions." Its participants were Russian and foreign scientists, directors of botanical gardens, teachers, graduate students of leading universities and research institutions. Among the guests of honor of the ceremony are the Chairman of the Council of Botanical Gardens of Russia, Director of the Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Upelnyek, director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Nikolay Sidelnikov, chairman of the Council of Botanical Gardens of the Center for European Russia, director of the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University Vladimir Chub, deputy chairman of the Council of Botanical Gardens of Russia, director of the Botanical Garden of PetrSU Alexei Prokhorov and others.

At the site of BelSU Botanical Garden, sectional classes were held, during which scientific reports were heard and discussed. Director of the Botanical Garden, Professor Valery Tokhtar conducted a tour for the conference participants, talking about the projects of the Botanical Garden, which became the hallmark of not only the university, but also of Belgorod and the region as a whole, original design solutions, the work of scientists and employees of the Botanical Garden. The culmination of the third day of the conference was the laying of a new lilac alley.
