The NRU “BelSU” summed up foreign students competitions

The Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Youth Policy Svetlana Ostrikova and the NRU “BelSU” CIC Director Elena Nazarenko addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. Svetlana Alexandrovna awarded the organizers and participants of the charity Christmas concert, as well as participants of the international competition of Russian classical literature readers, “And every line`s an inspiration” with letters of acknowledgement. Director of the Scientific Library named after N.N. Strakhov, Valentina Monastyreva, thanked the participants of the literary and musical show “The World We Create”.

The winners of the competition for the best exhibition table at the “World Ethnoculture” exhibit were awarded diplomas. At the exhibit students from Turkmenistan (the first place), Afghanistan (the second place), India (the third place) and other countries presented their national costumes, figurines, kitchenware and musical instruments. Winners and participants received memorable gifts - Palekh caskets. The program continued with the quiz “Do you know the culture of different countries?”, which was prepared by the international student office. The chairman of the NRU “BelSU” trade union committee Valery Timofeev congratulated the winners.

Letters of acknowledgement were presented to students for information coverage of the CIC’s work on social networks, for their contribution to the intercultural interaction development, for the promotion of ideas of friendship, peace and cooperation in the Belgorod State University multinational environment, as well as for their fruitful cooperation with the Center for Intercultural Communication.

The evening’s program was then continued with the speeches by the NRU “BelSU” technical support center engineer Valentina Komarova and students Musalim Ismailov and Polina Volobueva.
