The NRU “BelSU” and the Dezhou University of China develop cooperation

A meeting, covering scientific and educational interaction, was held within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the NRU "BelSU" and the Dezhou University. The Russian side was represented by the NRU “BelSU” Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Vladislav Kuchmisty, Head of the International Cooperation Department Nikolay Tsybulia, Director of the Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology Institute Irina Spichak, as well as scientists and employees of the Institute. The Chinese delegation consisted of the Vice-Rector for International Activities, the Head of the International Department, the Director of the Institute of Biophysics and scientists from the key biological, chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories.

- Strong relations have been established between our research teams. This year, the RFBR-NSFC application in the field of biotechnology was supported, - said Du Yali, Head of the International Department at Dezhou University.

Irina Spichak told her colleagues about the leading scientific teams of the Institute working in the fields of biotechnology and microbiology, genetics, cell technology, pharmacy and chemistry. Irina Vladimirovna noted that the main institute projects are being implemented within the framework of the Belgorod region world-class scientific and educational center “Innovative Solutions in the Agricultural Sector” and a number of new educational programs have also been opened within the REC that may also be of interest to Chinese partners. The meeting resulted in an agreement on a joint participation application for a grant competition. The parties also confirmed the earlier decision to develop a joint 2 + 2 undergraduate students program in biotechnology.
