NRU BelSU received a federal grant for the research facilities upgrade

The RF Ministry of Science and Higher Education finalized the competitive selection of the leading organizations which conduct research and developments to be eligible for the grants from the federal budget targeted to the research facilities upgrade. Another 89 leading Russian organizations will receive the financial support from the government under the Federal Project “Development of the Cutting-Edge Infrastructure to Conduct Research and Development in the Russian Federation” as part of the National Project “Research”. Belgorod State University as the grant awardee will be allotted 47 760 856 rubles.

The Vice-Rector for Research Nikolay Repnikov commented the results of the selection and underlined that Belgorod State University was listed among the major national organizations which conduct research and developments under the National Project “Research”.

“The university avails the necessary facilities by 90%. Three BelSU core facilities centres provide for the research both by our scientists and colleagues from other research organizations and enterprises. However, the scale of the research conducted under REC “Innovative Solutions in Agri-Business” involving BelSU as an integrating organization requires state-of-the-art high-tech equipment. The support of our grant application by the Ministry stands for the high evaluation of our research potential. The grant will enable our researchers to resolve more ambitious goals through participation in international collaborations involving preeminent international scientist and training our own research staff”, commented Nikolay Repnikov.
