The social project will be launched under Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union that will be aimed at support of cooperation in education, professional training, youth and sport
The online kick-off meeting was held by the work group of the new international project “Building Capacity Through Social Innovation Towards Improving and Sustaining Health and Well-Being in Communities” (SUSWELL) that is co-funded by Erasmus+. The initiative is composed of 9 higher education institutes and 6 social stakeholder organizations in Russia, the Netherlands, Finland and other countries.
On behalf of BelSU the meeting was attended by Ksenia Koroleva, the Head of the Division of Social Work at the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications and Igor Koskov, the Specialist for International Protocol and Language Services at the Centre for Cooperation with Strategic Regions.
The project will take 3 years and include such activities as advanced training of the social workers and students who plan to work in the social services. The project assume creation of communication channels between various representatives of state, public and business institutes that will lead to health and well-being improvement in the community.
According to Ksenia Koroleva the project will contribute to extending scientific and academic contacts due to the network of partner universities and social stakeholder organizations in Russia and European countries.
