NRU BelSU developing cooperation between Russia and Cuba

Belgorod State University held events in the framework of collaboration with Interregional Non-Governmental Organization “Russian Society for Friendship with Cuba” (RODK)

In 2020 NRU BelSU became the partner of the Russian Society for Friendship with Cuba and the co-founder of its division in Belgorod region. As part of this cooperation the university held a number of educational and scientific events. One of them included a round table via videoconferencing “Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 in the Context of International Relations” bringing together BelSU lecturers and students, representatives of RODK Belgorod Division and the crises witnesses.

The thematic event was followed by a literary meeting “Meet Cuba!” organized by Olga Lyutova, the tutor of the Latin America Student Community via videoconferencing. The university students also representing Caribbean countries had an opportunity to deeply understand the historic event of the 20^th century and to learn more about the history, culture and transitions of the Island of Freedom
