The researcher of Belgorod State University Alexandra Fedoseyeva was supported by the state to implement a project aimed at increasing the heat resistance of steels
Grants of the President of Russian Federation are aimed at supporting young scientists – PhDs and candidates of science. Among such promising researchers who received state support for their projects is a researcher of the Laboratory of Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured and Heat-Resistant Materials of Belgorod State University Alexandra Fedoseyeva. The presidential grant is awarded for two years. The work supported by the grant will be dedicated to investigating new possibilities for increasing heat resistance of heat engineering 9-12% chromium martensitic steels intended for manufacturing elements of boilers and steam pipelines at thermal coal-fired power plants.
“The problem of creating and mastering new materials with the required properties can be solved by using heat-engineering 9-12% chromium martensitic steels that retain heat-resistant and corrosive properties under extreme conditions of high-temperature working environment,” said Alexandra Fedoseyeva.
