The lecturers of the Faculty of History and Philology in collaboration with the colleagues from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Tula State Lev Tolstoy University and the University of Ioannina (Greece) initiated a scientific publication in English on Issues of Identity Metamorphoses in Transitional Epochs: Social Changes and Mental Evolution
A collection of selected materials presented during the international scientific conference “Sociocultural Modernization of Identity in Transition Epochs” held at Belgorod State University was published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. The British publishing house was interested in the topic of the conference and offered to publish a collection based on its results. The book “Metamorphoses of Identity in Transitional Epochs: Social Changes and Mental Evolution” includes articles by BelSU lecturers - Andrey Papkov, Nikolai Bolgov, Elena Litovchenko, Elena Semicheva, Marina Ryabtseva, Sergey Kutomanov and Dmitry Bogdanov.
According to Andrei Papkov, the Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology of Pedagogical Institute, the book is dedicated to the dynamics of identity in transition periods. As the team of the authors noted, the collection is intended for a wide range of humanitarians, historians, philosophers, culture researchers, sociologists, psychologists and readers interested in the problems of identity in a historical retrospective, since it affects different aspects of identity.
