Festival of fascinating science

The opening ceremony of Science Week-2021 was held in the main lobby on the ground floor where students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists were greeted by the activists of student scientific society and presented with flags, flyers, leaflets with BelSU symbols and the Year of Science and Technology in Russia. All the event participants could access photo zones, an exhibition of the university's scientific achievements demonstrating new developments and scientific projects by the institutes.

The participants were greeted on behalf of the Rector Oleg Polukhin by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Nikolai Repnikov. Nikolai Repnikov noted that despite of the difficult period due to the pandemic last year Belgorod State University demonstrated significant scientific achievements, held large-scale online events, was listed in international and national rankings improving its positions every year.

The representatives of various institutes presented an exhibition of their scientific achievements at the opening ceremony of Science Week. The annual BelSU Science Week will be held until 14^th April and combine scientific and popular science events. In total, over 160 events are planned including the intellectual game “Scientific provocation”, the round table “Innovation reception”. Science Week will also include quizzes, seminars and meetings with interesting people.
