BelSU improved its position in the international ranking

Among 4126 universities in the world (last year there were 3897 participants) Belgorod State University occupies 590^th position (in 2020 – 613^th position), sharing it with 3 other universities: the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneshwar, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University (Turkey) and the Middle East University (Cyprus).

In the Russian section BelSU took 37^th place out of 155 universities. In 2021 the number of participating organizations noticeably increased: in the overall ranking, their number increased from 7026 to 7533, the number of participating universities increased from 3897 to 4126. Finally, the number of participating universities from the Russian Federation almost doubled – from 87 to 155.

Among BRICS universities BelSU settled in the top 200 in “Arts and Humanities” (121^st place) and “Physics and Astronomy (159^th place). As for the rest of the subjects – in the top 500.

The university is in the top 20 among Russian universities in two subjects: “Engineering” – 17^th place and “Physics and Astronomy” – 16^th place. In other 4 subjects – in the top 30: “Arts and Humanities” and “Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceuticals” (27^th place), “Chemistry” (29^th place).
