BelSU rector demonstrated high results among over 160 heads of regional Russian universities
The National Fund for Support of Innovations in Education published the rating of the rectors of the Ministry of Education and Science subordinate universities due to their performance indicators.
The rating took into account indicators achieved as a result of 2020: the average USE score of students admitted to full-time Bachelor programs on a budgetary and paid basis; the proportion of Master students and doctoral students; the proportion of international students; the R&D revenues rate per faculty member; the number of publications and citations in Web of Science and Scopus journals per 100 research and teaching staff.
The rating was split in two groups: for the rectors from Moscow universities (47 universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg) and from regional universities (the rest 169 universities). BelSU Rector Oleg Polukhin was rated among top 10 heads of regional universities along with Eduard Galazhinsky (TSU), Anatoly Batayev (NSTU), Ilshat Gafurov (K (P) FU), Nikolai Morozkin (Bashkir State University) and Inna Shevchenko (SFedU), etc.
As it was noted by the rating builders, the list of the rectors taking high positions is easy to explain. The top 10 includes the heads of the leading universities – National Research Universities, Federal Universities, Basic Universities (both for regions and for industries), participants of the 5-100 project, hubs or active participants of projects launched by scientific, educational and scientific centers.
