BelSU becomes the venue for a professional skills event

Belgorod State University hosted a regional parade of professions: an exhibition-fair of educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education was held at BelSU Sports Complex named after Svetlana Khorkina. 7 universities, 33 colleges and technical schools, over 23 enterprises and 3000 schoolchildren from Belgorod region participated in the event.

The Labor and Education Day was opened by Acting Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov and Chairman of Belgorod Region Duma Olga Pavlova. In his welcome speech addressed to the young people, schoolchildren and parents, Vyacheslav Gladkov expressed his great desire for young people to choose those fields of study that are highly demanded by Belgorod enterprises.

Students of medical and engineering colleges made a speech on behalf of Belgorod State University. BelSU Rector Oleg Polukhin got acquainted with the university’s exposition representing the inventions by students and teachers and noted a high level of creativity of the young scientists.

“Life constantly brings us new problems and we should keep up to the times in order to face those challenges. I am assured that you will reach great heights if you are faithful to your work and the profession you chose”, said Oleg Polukhin.

The visitors of the exhibition learned about the directions of higher and secondary education, the details of the upcoming admission campaign. Perspective students and their parents were advised on the admission rules by the Admission Committee staff, institutes and colleges lecturers of Belgorod State University.
