BelSU brought together experts from different countries to discuss inter-municipal cooperation in the CIS area

The event involved lecturers and students of BelSU Institute of Economics and Management and was held under the auspices of the Institute for Cross-Border Cooperation and Integration and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS States. The plenary session was opened by Director of the Institute of Economics and Management Viktor Zakharov, who greeted the participants and underlined the importance of the forum topic in the geopolitical agenda.

An open lecture of the professor of Department of Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Yerzhan Zhatkanbaeva “Development of the System of Local Self-Government in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was conducted at the collective work space “Tochka Kipenia Belgorod”. The workshop “Territorial Public Self-Government as a Resource for Municipalities Development” was held as part of the forum. The second day was dedicated to practical work of young leaders in the context of Belgorod public authorities.

The international scientific section “Frontier Sociology” concluded the work of the forum where the issues of methodology of frontier sociology were covered and the signs of cross-border cooperation as a social institution were identified.

As a result of the work, the final resolution was adopted.
