An interdisciplinary team of young scientists from BelSU has developed and patented a device that ensures combined automated disinfection of X-ray equipment
A comprehensive solution to the problem of low-efficiency disinfection of working surfaces has been proposed by an interdisciplinary team of young scientists from BelSU including doctors and engineers. According to Vladislav Dubrova, the head of the project, a student of BelSU Medical Institute, an X-ray laboratory assistant of the Department of Radiation Diagnostics of St. Joasaph Regional Clinical Hospital, the proposed robotic device will enable complex disinfection by scanning the working space due to ultraviolet radiation and provide for good performance in combination with chemical and mechanical methods. At the same time, scanning and carrying out the entire disinfection process, as well as removal of the disinfector from the working space, is carried out automatically without human intervention by a command from the controller.
So far the scientists have developed a prototype of the device. In the near future, it is planned to launch tests and search for the potential customers. One of the Moscow hospitals has already been interested in the invention of young scientists from Belgorod State University.
