The Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property has registered a geomarketing computer programme developed by BelSU scientists
The specialized software product GeMi (GeomarketingIntelligence) was developed by the university within the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation. Through utilizing impersonal Big Data of MTS geo-analytical digital platform (project partner), the software will provide a “smart approach” to selection of optimal locations for retail outlets and service facilities for businesses.
“Due to the analysis of mobility of different target groups, certain marketing factors and property objects for rent, the software selects the best options. Such calculations help businesses to reduce their operating costs of up to 30%, and help the city agglomeration to develop different locations in a balanced way by avoiding infrastructure overcrowding”, explained Boris Tkhorikov, the Head of the Department of Management and Marketing of Belgorod State University.
The GeMi software will be tested extensively within a year in Belgorod region and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
The project developers have also applied for the grant of the Russian Science Foundation.
