Alexander Kalinenko, a 3rd year doctoral student of the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology, will continue his studies abroad
Kalinenko Alexander carries out research work supervised by Sergei Mironov, a leading researcher of the Laboratory of Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured and High-Temperature Materials, and Professor Mikhail Lebedkin, a world-class leading expert in the study of mechanical behavior of metallic materials by applying “digital image correlation” method.
The young scientist is interested in creating steels and alloys with unique properties. Under the guidance of Sergey Mironov, Alexander Kalinenko published 4 scientific articles on materials science in highly ranked Web of Science and Scopus journals as part of the Russian Science Foundation project during 2020.
At the same time, starting from September 2021 Alexander will also receive a scholarship of the Russian Government as a student in the field of study in compliance with the priority fields of technological development of the Russian economy.
As a reminder, the first time Alexander Kalinenko was awarded the prestigious presidential scholarship was in 2019, having subsequently completed an internship at the University of Lorraine.
