The results of the ranking were announced at the international festival “Russian Creative Week” opened in Moscow
The first ever independent ranking of mass media activity of Russian higher educational institutions was presented at the “Science and Technology” exhibition hall of the “Russian Creative Week” festival by Elena Druzhinina, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. She informed that the ranking covered the mass media activity of 219 higher education institutions subordinated to the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. Representatives of universities, public organizations and the mass media, as well as experts in mediaology and sociology, were involved in its development.
The speaker explained that the final M-rate ranking consists of three indicators: the effectiveness of the university work with mass media (IndexMassMedia), with social networks (IndexSocial) and with the official site (IndexSite). Each of the indicators has its own specific force in the final formula and is calculated separately.
Belgorod State University enters the first rating of universities’ mass media activity of the Ministry of Education and Science in the top-30, taking the 26th place. Regarding the efficiency of the universities' work with mass media Belgorod State University has occupied the 27th position; as for the efficiency of the university’s work with social networks - the 34th position, for the efficiency of the university website - the 19th place.
This ranking is based on the results of the analysis conducted in July 2021 and will be updated monthly.
