The International Salon ‘Inventions and Innovations’ held in Chalon-en-Champagne saw three scientific teams from our university win top prizes
The Federation of French Inventors, along with the ‘Europe. France. Inventors.’ Association and the Friends of Gustave Eiffel Society, hosted the 75th annual fair, the largest in France.
Our team from the Pharmacology of Living Systems Research Institute won the highest honour in regenerative medicine, with a new technology for the manufacture of polymer microcapsules with the secretion of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells. The second project to win top prize was led by Professor Alexander Vezentsev, whose team invented a new way of producing a composite sorbent based on organic agricultural waste. The third team were microbiologists who discovered a bacterial strain of the genus Janthinobacterium in the Vezelka River.
