Foreign students of BelSU are vaccinated against coronavirus infection
There are 1,626 foreign students of BelSU in Belgorod today. At the moment, all of them can be free vaccinated against COVID-19.
Tatyana Nikulina, Head of Social Policy Department, said that the university signed an agreement with Belgorod City Health Centre in September on free vaccination of BelSU foreign students currently living in Russia in order to form collective immunity.
According to her, 50 percent of foreign students have been vaccinated so far. The vaccination centre is located at 85 Pobeda Street. Vaccination is carried out by employees of City Health Centre, and they are assisted by medical volunteers – students of BelSU Medical Institute.
According to Anna Evsyukova, a physician at City Health Centre Prevention Department, almost two hundred foreign students have been inoculated since the beginning of the week. Young people are vaccinated with the Sputnik Lite.
“I wanted to get vaccinated for a long time, but couldn’t here. I’m concerned about my health, so I signed up for vaccination among the first,” says Javier Sosa, a student of ICCIR, whose relatives have already been vaccinated.
A student of the medical institute, Mohamed Mubarak, decided to get vaccinated as soon as he knew that a free vaccination against coronavirus infection could be done at the university.
“I am here because I am convinced that vaccination will reduce the risk of severe covid disease. Moreover, Sputnik is the best vaccine,” he said.
Recall that vaccination against influenza and coronavirus infection is carried out in BelSU Health Centre. To date, more than ten thousand employees and students of the university (66.6%) have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
