The All-Russian research-to-practice conference "Testosterone in a Man's Life: from Embryo to Adenoma" started at the Medical BelSU Institute of Medicine
The conference was opened at the Memorial Classroom named after Vladimir Kulikovsky, Honored Physician of the Russian Federation. There were urologists, professors and students of BelSU Institute of Medicine among the participants. Russian Association of Urology, the Healthcare Department of the Belgorod region and Saint Joasaph Belgorod Regional Clinical Hospital arranged the event along with the Belgorod State University.
Professor Oleg Polukhin, Rector of BelSU greeted the forum participants. He emphasized in his speech that the Institute of Medicine successfully combined both training of young doctors and scientific activities, and interacted with the practical healthcare of the region and Russia as well.
Professor Magomed Gazimiev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Urology and Human Reproductive Health, noted that the demography issue was one of the most important for Russia referring to the conference topic.
The representatives of Healthcare Department of the Belgorod region touched upon the importance of the research-to-practice conference for the healthcare system during their address. The forum program would be structured according to the sessions "Physiology and pathophysiology of masculinity, a review from childhood", "Testosterone and prostate cancer", "Urogenital infections and testosterone" and others. It should be noted that the conference with the practical part will end on October 16, and allow doctors to exchange invaluable experience in helping their patients.
