Belgorod State Philharmonic Hall hosted the awarding ceremony of the V.G. Shukhov Award
The winners of the award competition named after Vladimir Grigorevich Shukhov were awarded in Belgorod. The award is an annual one and is given for fundamental and engineering research, developments and commercialization of science and technology. This year the award was conferred to three scientists from Belgorod State University.
Among the awardees is Vadim Dmitriev, Professor of the Department of Theoretical Surgery of Medical Institute. He was the first in the “Innovations in Medicine” nomination presenting his theme on “Integrated Automated Decision Support System at Chemotherapy Department”.
Alexandra Fedoseeva, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured and Heat-Resistant Materials of the Research Institute of Materials Science and Innovative Technologies took the first place in the “Innovations in Bioengineering and Nanotechnologies” nomination. The second place in “Innovation in Modern Technologies of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” nomination was awarded to Roman Mishnev, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured and Heat-Resistant Materials of the Research Institute of Materials Science and Innovative Technologies.
The awards were presented to the laureates by Evgeny Savchenko, Belgorod Region Senator in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, and Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Governor of Belgorod Region. As the head of the region stressed, despite the difficult situation in the world today, it is important to develop science and the home region.
