The two-day forum involving international participants was dedicated to the topical issues of medical care improvement and professional medical education
The VII Interdisciplinary Medical Forum held by Medical Institute of Belgorod State University brought together practitioners, residence students and medical students from over 40 regions of the country. The organizers offered five sections where the participants could learn about current issues of internal organs diseases diagnostics and treatment, modern aspects of obstetrics-gynecology and dermatovenerology, specificity of general medical care of elderly patients, up-to-day aspects of pediatrics and neonatology as well as current aspects of nursing and mid-level specialist training.
While welcoming the forum participants, the Director of Medical Institute Nikolay Belousov noted that the event was dedicated to best practices share in the context of continuous medical education, and acquainting with the paradigm of lifelong education.
On the first day of the forum six speakers from BelSU Medical Institute participated in the section dealing with the topical issues of diagnostics and treatment of internal organs diseases. The moderator of the section, Associate Professor Olga Osipova, the Head of the Department of Hospital Therapy, spoke about modern aspects of arterial hypertension treatment.
The second section was dedicated to gynaecology and obstetrics, as well as dermatovenerology. Professor Sergey Pakhomov, the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of BelSU Medical Institute and Ovezmyrat Ataev, a doctoral student of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, spoke about the specific causes that influence fertility in the region.
The work was structured in another three sections on March 11. Participation in the forum was free of charge for medical professionals, but required pre-registration.
