The expert committee of the “Archimedes” International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies highly evaluated the developments that meet the priority fields of NRC “Innovative Solutions in Agri-Business” and the “Priority-2030” Strategic Academic Leadership Programme.
The Moscow Salon was supported by the Federal Agency for Intellectual Property, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators, and the World Intellectual Property Organisation. The scientific teams from Belgorod State University presented developments in biotechnology, medicine, material science and food industry.
The gold medal was awarded for the two-phase OPCB2 structured high entropy alloys of niobium, molybdenum, hafnium and cobalt developed by the researchers of the Laboratory of Bulk Nanostructured Materials of the R&D Institute of Material Science and Innovative Technologies of Belgorod State University.
The members of Biotechnology and Microbiology Department presented the innovative development – a method of micro-organisms immobilising on montmorillonite clays. The scientists used biomass of Lysobactersp microorganisms, as biological material, known for their properties to promote wounds healing, limit the spread of bacterial infection and inflammation. The invention was awarded a silver medal.
The research team from Food Technology Department of BelSU Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology also won a silver medal. The researchers have developed a range of functional food products for a couple of years. The samples of yoghurt enriched with nanostructured dry extracts of nettle and bee glue were presented at the Archimedes Salon and Exhibition.
