The report on “Development of a functional “busy-board” to speed up rehabilitation of fine motor skills of patients who suffered from cerebrovascular accident” by Vladislav Dubrova, a 6th year student of BelSU Medical Institute, was awarded the 1st degree diploma at the IV International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Modern Aspects of Medical Rehabilitation and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment.
The young researchers from Russia and Belarus participating in the event presented promising projects aimed at patient rehabilitation. Vladislav Dubrova, who spoke at the “Physical and Exercise Therapy in Medical Rehabilitation and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment” section presented his project implemented under the “Priority-2030” Programme. It is aimed at developing tools for domiciliary rehabilitation of patients who suffered from cerebrovascular accident.
It is planned to test the methodology on at least 30 patients after acute stroke over a period of 110 days. As a result of the experiment is expected to increase the motor activity of upper limbs by at least 10%.
The recommendations are planned to include the tools introduction at the regional level that will ensure a positive trend in post-stroke rehabilitation of patients.
