Belgorod State University held a spring project session to form the “Priority-2030” Programme project portfolio.
The session was organised by BelSU Project Office of the Rector's Office – the representatives of the university’s scientific, educational and administrative departments defended 20 project ideas to be included in the “Priority-2030” Programme project portfolio.
9 project initiatives presented were related to the “21st Century Science” Platform. They are mainly focused on import substitution and national food security. These are the projects related to building infrastructure for development of engineering applications to be used in radiation and vacuum conditions, welding regimes for advanced materials in power engineering, and new technologies in the field of animal husbandry, crop production, microbiology and gene therapy. Oleg Polukhin, BelSU Rector, specially noted the project dedicated to establishing a Gene Therapy Clinic.
Three project ideas were submitted to the project portfolio of the “Leaders of the Future” Platform aimed at providing students with additional competences in IT, increasing the graduates employment rate and creating new unique information and educational spaces.
Among the presenters of the project ideas were the heads and specialists of the university departments who would later lead the project teams. In most cases among the project supervisors were the heads of the “Priority-2030” Programme platforms and its specific areas.
The two days’ work ensured a pool of project ideas. Based on the results of the expert assessment certain projects will selected for inclusion in the project portfolio to be implemented in 2022 under the “Priority-2030” Programme.
