The winners of the “New Solutions” Competition of Innovative Ideas announced

The activists of the Student Scientific Society Danil Maklakov, Vladislav Dubrova, Mikhail Sevrukov, and Dilara Mamedova were involved in preparing the cases, supervising the contest participants and the jury evaluation.

Within the two-week period 10 teams, representing institutes of Belgorod State University, managed to develop unique ideas, many of which have been already submitted to various competitions and accelerators.

The first place went to the “AZART” team of Medical Institute. As part of the case study “Development of Orthopaedic, Rehabilitation Equipment and New Surgical Instruments” the team proposed the “Baropodometry Carpet” project. Its goal is to develop and implement a computerized Russian-made podometry system, which enables to carry out plantography, posturography and 3D-scanning in a single investigation.

According to Yaroslava Pavlyuk, the Head of Department for Student and Young Scientist Research of Research and Innovation Office, the “New Solutions” competition was focused specifically on formulation of ideas. Those students who have no their own projects participated in the competition. The team work gave them new experience and an incentive to submit ideas for other competitions.

In the future, the authors of the ideas will be able to present their project ideas in more challenging competitions, including grant competitions.
